This year our Drift on Snow trainings took us to ÖAMTC Fahrtechnikzentrum Saalfelden. On a combined 12 hectare area of snow and ice at the ÖAMTC Eisarena 2, participants had the chance to hone their skills at car control while at the same time not forgetting the fun factor. Skiing and snowboarding are great winter activities but propulsion is even better! There are still a few spots left for the Drift on Snow training in Saalfelden in Austria. Grab them while they are still available!

Despite heavy rains on Saturday in Boxberg, the drivers still had a big smile on their face at the end of the day. Our photographer tried his best to ignore the rain and click away. Added to the sunny Sunday, this resulted in a nice variety in the photos. Here is a selection for you to enjoy!

Late June we did an event at the famed Nürburgring Grand Prix track for Nissan. Along with taking part in an National A License Training and race taxi laps around the Grand Prix track in the NISSAN GT-R, participants were also able to take a helicopter tour of the "Green Hell". Here are a few images from the event for you to enjoy!

Clio Cup Auftaktrennen in Hockenheim - Eine Frage der Reifen! 29 Fahrer fanden den Weg nach Hockenheim. Nach einer trocken Qualifikation waren die Zeiten wieder einmal sehr eng zusammen (zwischen Platz 7 und 19 gerade einmal 3/10 Zehntel).

21 Clios fanden bei besten Bedingungen den Weg nach Hockenheim. Ein erstes Kräftemessen und Beäugen der Konkurrenz.

Seit nun 2 Jahren ist die Drive&Fun für RENAULT SPORT Deutschland erfolgreich mit den „RENAULT SPORT Track Days“ auf zahlreichen Rennstrecken unterwegs. Mit dem letzten RENAULT SPORT Track Day ging am 1. Oktober auf dem Sachsenring für die RENAULT SPORT Enthusiasten die Saison 2011 zu Ende. Wir haben für euch die schönsten Augenblicke von diesem Event zusammen gefasst und hier veröffentlicht. Wir freuen uns schon jetzt auf die Saison 2012 und möchten uns auf diesem Weg ganz herzlich bei allen RS Fahrern, Fans, allen Beteiligten und bei RENAULT SPORT Deutschland für die tollen Jahre bedanken!

The participants of the NISSAN GT-R Event 2011 were welcomed to a glamorous weekend at Lausitzring. If spending a whole day with the 530 horsepower super sports car at Eurospeedway Lausitz taking part in various active sessions wasn't enough, the participants were treated to a grand dinner at the castle of Wackerbarth as well as accommodation at the Hotel Westin Bellevue right at the banks of river Elbe in Dresden.

On Saturday, 28 June 2011, Drive&Fun was back at Boxberg once again with a gathering of petrolheads and driving enthusiasts. From a 700+ hp Porsche GT2 to pickups, once again the playing field was thoroughly varied. Depsite the occassional shower and heavy winds, the participants as well as the Drive&Fun crew had tons of fun.

The RENAULT SPORT Track Day season kicked off last Saturday in full swing at the French track Anneau du Rhin. There were Clios, Twingos and Méganes all on the run the whole day.
There were private entries at the track too, from Switzerland, France and Germany, from lightweight Lotuses to screaming 911 GT3s. Follow the jump for more photos!

The second round of Clio Cup Bohemia took place on 23 May 2011 at Slovakiaring. Due to technical issues, it was only possible to secure 16th spot on the grid after qualifying. After hours of troubleshooting, the problem was diagnosed and the car was once again capable of full potential for the first race.
Following a misjudged start, Armin Eckl had a hard job at hand to fight back the places. The car ran perfectly despite heavy action (you can see that on the car itself) and helped Armin Eckl climb to 6th place for the first race.
Unlike the first race, Armin had a perfect start for race 2, and following a dogfight on the track climbing as far ahead as 2nd place, the car took a short trip to the gravel trap thereby losing time. Despite the off, Armin finished in 5th place.

Last weekend saw the clash of polar opposites at Bosch Proving Grounds in Boxberg - from the popular Golf VI Bluemotion to the butch Corvette ZR1, from the classic Cobra 427 to the ultramodern Audi R8 V10. With sunny weather, ample seat time and even an overly curious petrolheaded pigeon 'Dave', every driven mile was guaranteed with a smile.

The season start at the Bosch proving grounds in Boxberg stood witness to the clash of the big blocks. With an array of V8 Chevies and V10 Dodge Vipers and perfect weather, there was no doubt that the drivers and the Drive&Fun team were equally having their bit of fun.
